DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Tenneco is looking for a Maintenance / Automated Assembly Operator that will be demonstrating mechanical ability. Provide flexibility and able to effectively coordinate several activities simultaneously, switching amongst tasks as necessary. An ideal candidate for this position is a candidate who possesses the ability to take initiative, anticipate problems, and take appropriate corrective action. Perform job responsibilities without constant supervision.We are ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. You'll first hear from someone in Human Resources to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview with the Hiring Manager. PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Ability to frequently lift 35 pounds. - Regularly required to stand, climb stairs, or move about the facility. - Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand movements. - Infrequent exposure to share metal edges during replacement of pallet belts, (personal protection equipment provided.) REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: - At minimum: 2 - 5 years of hands-on experience in the manufacturing field. - Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctions form non-schedule downtime. - Ability to handle basic tools. - Advanced mechanics of equipment.
