Responsibilities
  • Manage and support recurring medical-leave pay processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments for crew members.

  • Perform detailed Excel calculations, lookups, and reconciliations to support payment accuracy and financial integrity.
  • Prepare and support journal entries in alignment with established accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist with uploads into financial systems, ensuring data is complete, accurate, and properly formatted.
  • Analyze financial and operational information, summarize findings, and communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Serve as a resource for internal stakeholders on payment-related questions, providing clear explanations and guidance.
  • Maintain accurate records and demonstrate strong attention to data integrity across all financial transactions.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and departmental projects, contributing analytical capacity to the team.
  • Contribute to broader activities such as financial reporting, claims-related data analysis, audit support, and data administration as needed.
  • Participate in cross-functional problem solving related to claims and risk-management financial operations.
Essential Skills
  • Strong hands-on Excel capabilities, including lookups, formulas, calculations, and working with financial data.
  • Experience preparing or supporting journal entries and core accounting processes.
  • Ability to perform financial analysis, research discrepancies, and identify and correct payment issues.
  • Experience handling detailed payments, reimbursements, reconciliations, or comparable financial transactions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financially sensitive data.
  • Approximately 2+ years of relevant financial, accounting, or analytical experience preferred.
  • Accounting or Finance education or background strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to research discrepancies from identification through resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • SOX or internal-control experience is beneficial.
  • Experience with financial reporting applications is a plus.
  • Interest in expanding beyond traditional accounting into financial analysis, risk management, and claims-related financial operations.
  • Comfort working with cross-functional teams and supporting internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand the broader financial impact of detailed transactional work.
Work Environment

The role is based in a professional office and corporate environment, offering exposure to finance, accounting, risk management, claims-related financial operations, and cross-functional business activities. The assignment is expected to be approximately six months initially, with potential to extend depending on evolving responsibilities and team needs. The typical schedule includes four days onsite and Friday remote, providing a blend of in-office collaboration and remote work.
